Companies were alerted for Box 1810 this afternoon for a report of a kitchen fire in the unit block of Megginson Ave in New Castle Manor. Squad 18 arrived with smoke showing. Engine 22 arrived as the second due Engine & picked up Squad 18’s split lay. One patient was transported with burns to the Trauma Center by Ambulance B30 & New Castle County Medic 1B. The box was held to 2 & 2. The fire is under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office.
